Mini mesh grating is an ideal alternative to traditional GRP open mesh grating panels. Our mini mesh range offers open-moulded mini mesh grating panels, all of which are chemical and weather-resistant, non-slip, durable, lightweight, and can be cut according to your specific size requirements.

The mini mesh panels offer reduced size openings, ensure they meet ball-proof requirements and prevent debris from being able to fall through the flooring. The smaller holes also enable smoother movements for small-wheeled trolleys, wheelchairs, and other wheeled tools and utilities.

Our mini mesh grating is a durable, quality, and versatile flooring option that can successfully replace steel mesh grating in a range of industrial settings. All of the options we stock are slip-resistant and withstand a variety of corrosive environments, even at extreme temperatures. Additionally, GRP mini mesh grating is cost effective, easy to install, and simple to transport to hard-to-reach areas. Our products are manufactured in accordance with British Standards EN ISO 14122 Permanent Means of Access to Industrial Equipment and BS 4592 Industrial Flooring, Walkways and Stair Treads regulations.

GRP Mini-Mesh Grating FAQs

What is mini mesh used for?

Mini mesh is most commonly used in industrial settings in which ball proof requirements must be met and is also often installed at marina jetties.

What is the difference between mesh and mini mesh?

Mesh panels typically have hole sizes of 38mm x 38mm or larger. Mini mesh offers reduced hole sizes of 14mm x 14mm. Micro mesh has an even smaller hole size of 10.5mm x 10.5mm.

Why is smaller mesh better?

The smaller hole sizes of mini mesh help to ensure that ball proof requirements can be met, to allow for smooth wheel movements across flooring, and prevent debris from falling through floors. Smaller mesh is specifically designed to provide an optimal performance to weight ratio, ensuring the same durability that you would expect from traditional open mesh grating and steel grating options.

What is the most common mesh used?

The most commonly used mesh sizes for industrial purposes are 15mm, 22mm, and 30mm. BM Steel stocks all three of these size options to help you select the ideal solution for your facilities’ needs.
