Sales Executive Profiling

Warehouse Operative

  • Generate (break down) rack locations to create space for new stock.
  • Maintain inventory controls by stowing stock away in the relevant location.

Intro:

The Late Shift Supervisor is required to participate in our warehouse operations and activities and lead a small team of warehouse operators.

The working hours are 10.30am to 7.00pm.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities include pulling, craning and loading materials for onward delivery. This work is of a physical nature and involves lifting, carrying and pulling. The objective is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. A non-negotiable key objective for the role is to ensure that all vehicles are loaded prior to the end of the shift. This job description provides a general framework of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position. It is not exhaustive, and you may be required to perform additional tasks at the reasonable discretion of the Company.

  • Lead the team to prepare customer orders by processing delivery ticket requests; pulling/craning materials, banding and labelling consignments where required, ready for vehicle loading.
  • Quantity and quality check all material before loading.
  • Identify and re-pull errors from the early shift.
  • Ensure all material is loaded safely and efficiently on the delivery vehicles.
  • Pull and load material for production trailers.
  • Conduct stock discrepancy checks; ensuring all stock discrepancies are reported to the Dept Manager.
  • Ensure material (stock) is stowed away in the correct location.
  • Ensure good housekeeping is maintained throughout the bays; to have a thorough end of shift clean-up daily.
  • To comply, and ensure all operators comply, with the dress code, HSE and quality standards agreed within the company.
  • Ensure all ‘Before Use Checks’ and reporting of faults is performed.

JOB CONTENT

  • To ensure the T Card (or alternative) progress system is kept up to date in real time, so the Sales Department, Production Department and the Management team can monitor tickets in progress throughout the facility for all shifts.
  • To ensure T Cards are moved in a timely and orderly fashion in accordance with the processing order defined by the Team Leader/Production Manager.
  • To ensure all production processes and paperwork are completed legibly and accurately consistently and handed in to the correct departmental personnel in a timely manner.
  • To time manage the material presented to the machine so as to ensure that work flows through each stage of the production processes in the most efficient manner.
  • To complete the machine job accurately and prepare for dispatch in accordance with delivery requirements i.e. Banded, Labelled, & Stacked appropriately for loading.
  • To ensure that any Technical and/or Safety bulletins for Processing Machinery distributed to each machine operative is adhered to.
  • To ensure that data for OEE reports are completed and handed to the Team Leader/ Production Administrator so that OEE statistics can be produced accurately on a daily basis.
  • To fully complete material quality checks
  • To act on information produced by OEE statistics to ensure that workflow efficiencies are maximized at every opportunity.
  • To ensure machinery is operated in line with published SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) at all times.
  • To ensure good housekeeping is maintained throughout the Production work areas and machinery on a daily basis. This will include timely TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance) schedules are adhered to.
  • To comply with the dress code, HSE and quality standards agreed within the company and to have personal responsibilities for the application of policies and procedures established for the department.
  • Ensure adequate information detailing issues on the shift, machine issues, jobs in progress are relayed to the Team Leader, and Day Shift Operator.

Multi customer drops and movement of materials to fulfil customer/ inter-branch orders to schedule within health and safety guidelines. General fair usage and maintenance of vehicle, adherence to vehicle policy and all VOSA regulations. You may also be required to help out in the warehouse on occasion

  • To enable safe and efficient receipt, movement and storage of goods via company vehicle and manifest provided
  • To maintain the vehicle in a roadworthy condition and adhere to all VOSA regulations
  • To plan the most effective and efficient routes to suit delivery schedule and to minimise diesel usage where possible. Following a pre-planned manifest for drops, must be signed for and agreed before leaving.

  • To assist in the management, storage and audit of stock in the warehouse through good housekeeping and maintenance of quality control procedures when not driving.

Commercial Structural Steel Estimator

Role Purpose

This role combines tendering, estimating, and client-facing business development activity. The Commercial Structural Steel Estimator is responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates while also supporting sales, building client relationships, and helping secure new work.

The role plays a key part in both winning work and shaping commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Commercial

  • Review tender enquiries, drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Prepare detailed take-offs for structural steelwork, including connections and ancillary items.
  • Build clear and accurate cost estimates covering materials, fabrication, surface treatment, and transportation
  • Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Identify commercial risks, exclusions, and opportunities within tenders.
  • Prepare tender summaries and pricing reviews for internal approval.
  • Support project handover following award.

    Business Development & Sales

  • Act as a point of contact for key clients & customers.
  • Follow up submitted tenders to secure feedback and improve win rates.
  • Support pre-tender discussions, early-stage budgeting, and feasibility pricing.
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and tender interviews where required.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of enquiries and repeat clients.
  • Assist in identifying new market opportunities and target contractors.
  • Work closely with senior management to support pricing strategy and workload planning.

    Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience estimating commercial structural steelwork projects.
  • Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication processes.
  • Demonstrable client-facing or sales support experience within construction or steelwork.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong commercial judgement and attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable dealing directly with clients and decision-makers.
  • Competent with estimating software, Excel, and digital take-off tools.

Qualifications
