Business Development Executive

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research new sales opportunities to drive new business
  • Build and maintain customer and prospect contact databases
  • Contact prospects, develop relationships and recommend suitable solutions
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients
  • Provide regular updates on new products and services
  • Follow up all quotations and provide feedback
  • Gather customer feedback, market insights and competitor information
  • Contribute to the sales team by meeting individual and team sales gross margin targets
  • Promote all products and value added services
  • Process orders on the system and manage them from start to completion
  • Respond to internal and external emails in a timely manner
  • Visit customers to promote Angus F Gunn, BM Steel and the full product range

Trainee Profiling Operator

Duties:

  • Operation of Plasma and gas Profiling Machines (training provided if required)
  • Quality checks of materials and equipment
  • Preparation of part ready for dispatch
  • Completing all relevant checks and paperwork
  • Working in conjunction with profile office to deliver a high quality product and service to customers
  • Maintain inventory controls by stowing stock away in the relevant location
  • Prepare customer orders by processing work orders; picking materials; banding and labelling consignments ready for loading
  • Assist drivers with loading vehicles and ensuring all material is loaded
  • Operating overhead cranes and forklifts to assist with material handling
  • Ensure all stock discrepancies are reported to the Operations Manager to Depot Manaher
  • Ensure all PPE is worn at all times in the warehouse
  • Carry out all daily, weekly and monthly checks as required by the companies procedures
  • Maintain equipment by performing 'Before Use Checks' and reporting any faults
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping all racking and floor areas from waste
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing other tasks as specified by your line managers
  • Adhere to our environment policy by ensuring all waste is disposed of in the correct skips (wood, metal, general)

Warehouse Operative/ Driver

  • Pick and pack steel or steel related material
  • Maintain inventory controls by storing stock away in the relevant location
  • Prepare customer orders by processing delivery ticket requests, pulling materials, banding and labelling consignments
  • Correctly complete delivery tickets and return to the ticket holding area
  • Ensure all stock discrepancies are reported to the warehouse supervisor or the Depot Manager
  • Complete all daily vehicle inspection and record defects
  • Ensure all products are loaded on the vehicle in a safe manner, strapped and secured adequately
  • Ensure all PPE is worn in the warehouse
  • Maintain equipment by performing 'Before use Checks' and reporting any faults via management or to the maintenance team
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping all racking and floor areas free from waste
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing other tasks as specified by your line manager

Skills and Qualifications:
