Recycled Plastic Planters - FAQs
Wash your recycled plastic planters with a mild soap and water solution regularly to keep them clean. If you want to give them a deep clean and disinfect them, remove the soil, use a cloth or brush to remove any remaining soil particles, and wash the planters with soapy water before rinsing clean. Next, add one part of household bleach to nine parts of water, and soak the planters in this solution for at least 10 minutes before rinsing them and allowing them to dry.
With proper care, recycled plastic planters can last for up to 25 years or longer.

There are almost no limits when it comes to what you can plant in recycled plastic planters from BM Steel. They’re suitable for small trees, flowering ornamental plants, ornamental grasses, succulents and cacti, shrubs, bushes, small trees, and edible plants such as vegetables, fruit, and herbs.
The answer depends on the type of plant. Plastic pots retain more water than ceramic pots, making ceramic pots a slightly better option for plants that prefer drier conditions, such as cacti and succulents. If you plant succulents and cacti, pay attention to how much and how frequently you water them.
